Alejandro is a Senior Environment officer at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), where he acts as the secretary to the CAEP working group on monitoring and tracking progress towards aviation’s Net Zero goal. Prior to this, he was involved in several international initiatives for the decarbonization of aviation including the Aerospace Technology Institute’s Fly Zero project, and being the lead author of IATA’s net zero roadmaps to 2050. He created IATA’s most recent strategy on hydrogen aircraft while co-chairing the International Industry Working Group’s task force on Airport Compatibility of Alternative Aviation Fuels.
Alejandro is a chartered engineer by the Royal Aeronautical Society, holds a PhD in aerospace propulsion and is a research visiting fellow at Cranfield University.
