Mohamed, originally from Tamil Nadu in South India, came to Canada in 2021 to pursue a Master’s in Sustainable Energy and Climate Change at Carleton University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Anna University in India and brings a blend of technical background to the team. Before his current role, he managed projects at Edmonton Global and Brilliant Energy Institute.
At the Edmonton Region Hydrogen Hub, Mohamed’s work lies with clean energy, where he blends technical expertise with policy insights on our ecosystem initiatives.

He leads the Western Canada Hydrogen Corridors Initiative as well as discovery work into Low-Carbon Steel and Sustainable Aviation Fuel. Seconded from Alberta’s Industrial Heartland Association, he continues to manage the Hub’s ongoing initiatives on clean power production, awareness building, supply chain mapping and workforce development, including first responder training. Working as a convener, he has formed partnerships to develop strategic initiatives that further our ecosystem as well as expanded our network to include more than 100 organizations.

Beyond work, Mohamed is a food enthusiast, a dedicated reader, an aquarist, and is actively involved with charitable work.
